    Adam Smith, LMT

I’m Adam Smith, a licensed and insured massage therapist in Michigan. Since graduating with honors from Everest Institute in 2013, I’ve dedicated myself to providing exceptional care in my practice.

Specializing in “functional massage,” I focus on correcting soft tissue dysfunction to relieve pain and improve well-being. My approach is tailored to each client’s unique needs, whether you’re an athlete, recovering from surgery, expecting a baby, or simply seeking relief from everyday discomforts.

I offer specialized treatments like plantar fasciitis release, abdominal work, and TMJ release, with adjustable intensity to ensure your comfort. My goal is to create a healing environment where you can experience the transformative power of massage therapy.

When Adam isn’t catering to his clients, he enjoys spending his time with his wife and 3 young children. You’ll catch him grilling in the backyard, woodworking or playing a round of disc golf with friends. Camping in the woods is also a passion of his.

    Kristen Mills, MT

Acquiring her experience at Michigan’s largest leading school of massage therapy, Blue Heron Academy, has helped fuel her passion for helping others. She has found gentle, therapeutic relaxation massage to be one of her greater strengths, and she thoroughly enjoy it as well! She is trained in medical massage, Swedish massage, manual therapy as well as a number of other modalities. Kristen also plans to further her education and continue adding to her toolbox of knowledge because helping others to relax and feel their best is what motivates her the most!

For over 20 years, she has been interested in Natural health and living, and passionate about helping others to heal.

In 2014, Kristen’s oldest son was diagnosed with leukemia, which threw her interest of natural healing into a full-time job of learning thru experience. She enrolled at The Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and Education in 2018 to take classes that best suited the needs of her family and personal interests.

Kristen balances her career with being a wife, a dog-mom to two French bulldogs, and mother of 3 boys ages 20, 17, and 12. In her free time, she enjoys making natural remedies like salves and tinctures and spends a lot of her free time in the woods foraging. Ultimately her passion, hobbies, and career choices have always revolved around the caretaking of others, and she looks forward to meeting you on her massage table!

    Barbra Gabrielse, LMT

Barbra Gabrielse has been a licensed massage therapist for over 2 decades and absolutely loves what she does! She has a heart of gold and it shines through to every client she interacts with.

Barbra found her niche in medical massage therapy and manual therapy. Together, these assist her with massage rehab services specifically with those recovering from strokes, joint replacements, breast and abdominal surgeries, automobile accidents and frozen shoulders.

When Barbra isn’t working, you can find her relaxing in her own private backyard oasis or hosting a get together for her close friends and family.

    Marcia Hammar, NHT, NAET Practitioner

Marcia Hammar was an RN for over 30 years. She worked in 7 different hospitals specializing mostly in emergency medicine. After a knee surgery in 2011 that only made things worse, she sought the help of a naturopath and her pain went away! She had to learn more, so in 2013 she started working towards her degree in traditional naturopathy at NITE in Mt. Pleasant.

While attending her 3rd year of classes there she accidentally ran across NAET which is an amazing way to help people of all ages with various health and emotional issues. She became a NAET (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques) practitioner in 2017 and left the medical system never regretting the move.

She now helps people in an easy and non-invasive way to desensitize allergies and other ailments using truly “safe and effective” modalities. Marcia is ready to help your family create a healthier environment!

Hi, I’m Katie Barton, a life coach who’s intention is to help anyone who wants to freely express their authentic Self but feels trapped by their life struggles. I wholeheartedly believe that every individual knows how to heal themselves from even their most debilitating struggles but were never taught how. That’s because our society has placed so much emphasis on “fixing”, which automatically implies that a person is broken. However, from my perspective, no one needs to be fixed because no one is broken. Instead, they need to heal. Let me explain:  Two years ago, I quit the teaching profession and went looking for a more authentic life.  Little did I realize that in order to and that life, I needed to start talking about all the parts of me that I had been hiding and denying for decades. When I started to talk about those parts, our health care profession labeled me as “mentally ill”. The doctors told me to take medication and go to therapy because I was very broken and needed to be “fixed”. So I did as they advised.

I popped antidepressants like candy and was labeled, “anxious”,  “clinically depressed”,   “dissociated from the body”, and “traumatized”.  Society’s version of “fixing” me seemed relieving at first. I felt as if I could understand myself better. But, after a while, those pills and labels started to suffocate me. On the outside, I couldn’t leave my house. I constantly worried what other people thought about me. I held no personal boundaries. I felt so alone. However, on the inside, I knew that I was meant to do so much more. I knew I had a purpose but those labels were blocking it from coming through.

So, I did the only thing I could think of: I rewrote the script. I became curious and started asking myself what I needed to do in order to truly heal. I knew that the belief that I was broken was only causing me more suffering. So, I decided to investigate life through a lens of wholeness. By looking through that lens, I learned that my illnesses were coping mechanisms that were not “wrong” or “bad” but were simply trying to tell me that they wanted to be swapped for better ones, which I did by listening to myself and following through on what I was guided to do. In the end, my body released the “mental illness” I had been carrying for so long and I am the happiest I have ever been.

Going through this journey allowed me to create a system that teaches, not only myself but others, how to listen to their life struggles, instead of fear them. As a result of my system, I have learned how to love and trust myself. I have learned my worth and what I value most in life. Through all of those lessons, I finally learned my purpose and it is to help guide individuals back to their wholeness. I don’t work for the health care profession. I don’t want to fix you. I want to help you remember the You that you’ve forgotten.
